Attorney selection is a highly personal process. Compatibility preferences are numerous, preferred legal strategies differ, costs vary — there is no one-size-fits-all attorney for everyone — so a thoughtful selection strategy is important. I originally contacted Arthur Lin because he came highly recommended, but I only selected him to handle my case after a thorough consultation. I initially chose Arthur primarily because he stood out as the one I believed most when he told me he would put the best interests of the children first, while seeking to minimize drama as much as possible. Time soon proved that Arthur does exactly that. Arthur’s response to each challenge invariably begins with structuring a methodical strategy around 1) what would be in the best interests of the children, 2) upholding the highest level of integrity, and 3) his unqualified belief in taking the high road. If you’re interested in finding an attorney who will fight fire with fire, or win at any cost — regardless of how much that would put your children in the middle — you may want to keep looking (and reconsider what’s most important). Arthur will center focus on what’s best for the children — exactly where the long-term focus should remain. For cases without children involved, I’d expect Arthur to remain focused on what’s legal, fair, reasonable and equitable, all while maintaining his characteristically unwavering devotion to taking the high road with integrity and dignity. Arthur takes the required time to properly assess every situation, remains calm, and patiently explains his logical thought process at every step — and he doesn’t nickel and dime for every second of his time. He is generous, caring, highly responsive and genuinely interested in doing the right thing. He has a great memory, often finds potential issues in details others tend to miss, stays current on the latest case law and new legislation, and often anticipates conflicts before they arise.
